I was reading my homie, Stevie's blog yesterday and it got me to thinking about rappers lyrics. So I found myself today trying to figure out what exactly makes a lyricist. To me a lyricist is a person that if you read the rhymes, you'd love it the same way as if you heard the rhyme.
Which brings me to another topic, overrated rappers. Are you niggas telling me that if you read someone like Tupac or Lil Wayne's rhymes you'd like them just like you heard them? The words are suppose to stand on their own but alot of rappers words don't. I love Jay-Z but I'm not giving dude lyricist status, don't trip I'm not saying he's weak either. I'm just saying there is a huge difference between rappers and lyricist.

Life is a gamble, you win some, you lose some. Well today my friends, Malcolm Maximillion is a motherfucking winner! I moved into my apartment. I'm having so much fun. Its so quiet here. I got a funny story to tell real quick. Stop bitching just read.
I am enrolled into the University of Baltimore but over the summer I decided I didn't want to continue my studies there, so I enrolled into Tesst College of Technology. I didn't tell anyone at the University of Baltimore about it, last they've heard from me, I was going to a community college. Remember that Monday school starts.
I went to orientation and countless financial aid meetings at Tesst. I spent alot of time up there in the past month trying to get shit up and running. But then I got a phone call yesterday at about 3.
The phone ringed, I didn't recognize the number so I picked it up. "Hello, is this Eugene", the voice said. "Yes, this is Eugene. How are you doing?", I replied back. At that moment I went wtf. "This is (not gonna give you my student advisors name!) from the University of Baltimore", she stated. I got excited for a moment. "Hey, hows it going?", I asked. "Good look if you don't enroll out of your classes you'll still get billed for them. So what are you doing?". "I'm going to Tesst". "GOING TO TESST!?!?"."Yeah, they have a networking program there and I'm gonna get into it". "Look we'd really like you back, and I don't want you to waste any time there if your coming back here. Are you coming back here? Do you really have your heart set on Tesst?". "Yeah I planned on coming back after I graduate". "Well we need to talk as soon as possible."
After that we scheduled a meeting for Monday. But to sum everything up, I got a scholorship and Tesst was only giving me an Associates degree for the price of my Bachelors degree. So Monday I'm pretty much gonna drop out of Tesst and go to school at the University of Baltimore. Damn, talk about a minute changing everything
Holy shit! When it comes to disses, Joe Budden is that dude. He just fucking ripped Prodigy a new one. Now I fucks with Prodigy, hes one of my favorite rappers of all time, but this shit is worse than anything anyone else has ever said about him. Joey doesn't get any points cause Prodigy is in jail though, I wish he was out.
Anyway I've recently been gone because my Uncle died so I went to pay my respects. On my way back I realized alot about life that I need to get mine like now. Since then I've been forming a plan. Long story short, I'm going back to school for computers and I've really been m.i.a because I've been studying for my A+ Exam. I'm on that grind.
Speaking of tough breaks, what ya'll think of that Juelz situation. You know Cam'Ron had time to sell his contract to Def Jam, now Def Jam owns him. Ain't that a bitch? If I was him I'd be mad as fuck. But on the other hand is Cam'Ron going Scott Storch on us?
Like the title says after today I will not post on my blog until Monday maybe. I usually share alot of personal things on this blog and I'm sorry to tell everyone that my uncle died Thursday July 3rd. I gotta go back to my hometown of Paterson, New Jersey and properly pay my respects to one of my vets. I've been doing good so far but I think once I get inside of that funeral home, I'm not gonna be able to contain myself. Its really hard for me to contain myself at the moment, just typing this. So I'll be out, just chilling or atleast attempting to.
Cool thing is me and my woman are going together so it'll be quite a trip. We couldn't fit inside of my parents vehicle (because they are bringing everyone including the dog lol) so we are taking the Greyhound. Speaking of the Greyhound, why does it only cost $50 roundtrip to New York and $75 roundtrip to Newark, New Jersey? Thats crazy. Any who its like a little vacation for us because I'm in charge for once. I love it! Also I do plan on catching the bus from Newark to Paterson, New Jersey also. That should be exciting. I plan on taking some pictures and posting them of family and other shit that I think is interesting.
This may be a nice vacation after all.....

Well if you've been under a rock for the last 24 hours and not on Nahright.com, you wouldn't know this but alot of the material for Nas' "Untitled" (AKA "Nigger") is being leaked. If I counted correctly, 11 out of the 15 tracks for "Untitled" are already on the internet. His album is suppose to hit the streets in 14 days. Well I've decided not to listen to anything else thats suppose to be off the album or even listen to Nas until the "Untitled" album comes out. This is ridicoulous. Like I said before, I'm not an Hebrew Israelite, I believe in some of the shit they preach but thats about it. I do think they take the whole, "hating white people" thing too far though.
