I need time to formulate my thoughts a bit more.
I was looking at my homie N.I.K.E.'s blog and noticed this video from the beat battle. As I was watching I noticed, thats me!? I didn't remember talking at all. Apparently, I got a lil promo going after watching that lame ass rap battle. I was on Twitter the other night and the idea struck me. Make a Vday beat tape. Funny thing is that was like 2 days ago. With my schedule, I don’t really have time to go in and make joints like I used to. Boy, do I miss that.
So I went and compiled all of my joints that I felt were Vday material and made a play list. Then I cut a few down.
Most of these beats are from 2008. Actually only 2 or 3 are recent. So, do download it. Listen to it on Vday and keep listening to it afterwards.

Today is the day i turn 20. I know, I cheated. I posted this on 2/8/2009 instead of 2/9/2009. Either way, by the time you read this, its my Birthday.

Last year, I took a course called English 200. In that class we did a lot of work towards satire. But, we also looked at the Holocaust. I'm pretty sure everyone reading this blog knows about the Holocaust. This is one poem I wrote for that class about the Holocaust and didnt think it was any good until I was going through some old writtens. Its coming from the perspective of the door of the Jewish family's home that are attempting to escape the Holocaust live in.
I was made from wood and metal, I reside in the ghetto
With a family, brinking insanity, in a home with two levels
Picture this dream, happy Jews under Hitler's regime?
With the walls, I saw more than the kitchen picking up steam
Apparently, Jews, handicaps, and gays are useless
You a fool, you'll die too if you believe in Confucius
Germany ain't having you live happily, they for nationality
And my home obviously ain't it, they shown it graphically
They come and post signs, never mind, I can't take them off
But my owner did, they kicked me in and it was not soft
Two officers stepped on me in their pursuit of the convict
Of whom taking down the signs being Jewish is a conflict
If only my hinges were tighter and I had a better lock
When they kicked me I would have ticked and maybe they'd stop
Long enough for my owners to pull an Ann Frank and hide out
But frankly they did the side window they had climbed out
The officer is pissed now, he's on the porch with a torch
He spit on my and stood on me as he gathered his thoughts

After his men walked out he threw the torch on my eye
I just saw the flames and remember the pain inside
I took today off cause shit, I needed a day off to just not do shit. But I got bored and started recording a beat vid. A friend called and told me he was coming over so I thought it was a good idea for him to record the other portion lol
Right now I should be going to get my keys for my new apartment. I found out I'll be in that bitch alone Friday. Like completely alone because ain't shit gonna be in there. Anyway, this is some shit that I want and hopefully I'll get one of these items. Birthday is next Monday, if one of you buy me one of these things, I'll do something outrageous.
Thats the good ol MPC 2000. Now, I'd take a 2000xl over this or, or, a fucking MPC 3000 if possible. But, I can't afford that right now. Don't get me wrong I love my Boss Sp 505 (Yeah, its working. Come to find out I plugged it up in the socket connected to the light switch that I never use... Laugh later) but I really love those pads on the MPC. It wouldn't hurt to say that I also got a Louis Vuitton design for the cover it.
Thats what is called an ASR 10. I know that machine is old as fuck. In a day of played out Tritons, Motifs, and Fantoms, why the fuck would I want an ASR 10? Inspiration. The majority of the greats that I look up have used that machine at one point in their career. I probably wouldn't use it to sample but as a midi controller. But, again, inspiration is really important to me. I bought my first drum machine based off of inspiration. I'm still a kid at heart.
Now that is a microKorg. I've been trying to buy that shit for about a 1 1/2 years. Cash kinda low. Now that I got a better job and I save a lil bit better, I should have that shit by the end of the summer. But I'll probably use that for basslines.
