New Ghostface Interview

Lets just say Tony Yayo can suck a fat dick. Read it here

Last Night Changed It all

Well kinda. Last night I went over another producers house, Drew, to make some tracks. It was actually our first time linking up and it won't be the last. The session was mad crazy though, god I wish I didn't have school this morning. Anywho he we talked about beats all the way until we got to his crib. Now when we got to his crib, he has this collage that I think is so awesome and I'm kinda pissed because I was gonna make one I am going to make one and that one was just so impressive.
After looking at the collage, he was like "so what you trying to do" and I simply told him, "make some tracks". So I pulled out my weapon (Boss Sp 505) and began connecting. Then he told me that he has a MPC 2000 (Not the xl version) and I noticed how big that thing was all I can say is damn. I'd never bring that out the house. He never has used him MPC so he was curious to see how a drum machine works. So I began making a drum beat in front of him, then he goes "so how you put samples over your tracks" and I'm like lets see if I have a sample in the machine already. Fortunately I did! So I just chopped the sample up and did my thing. Dude was amazed. Now he works with Reason and I was curious to see how he does what he does. He showed me how to really work reason if I ever need to. Really that track that he did in front of me came out ridiculous. He taught me a bit more about chopping too.
Did I mention his speaker system is fucking nuts? He made me realize I need to get some speakers quick. Because I do everything in my computer speakers and I got a chance to hear them come out of actually speakers and I don't know how much longer i can make beats without decent speakers.
So after all of that we played some beats, I played shit like 2 years old. He is a good scouter for talent, I swear he'd make a great A&R. All of the beats he played me from his camp were hitting. I didn't hear anytype of bullshit coming from those speakers and the "just ok" tracks were fucking knocking.
Anywho one of the producers that did one beat he played me he called him and I saw how dedicated he was to this. This guy is so commited to producing, it feels like I have a twin out here. He wants this so bad and I think he's gonna get it. He made me realize something, producing is becoming a young kid sport there are people out here that are 15 making placements (seriously I know). So its time to get on the hustle.

Inside The Rappers Studio

I've had the privilege to listen to Ghostface Killah's new cd, The Big Dough Rehab, a week early before the release. So far one of the best releases this year, possibly the best. But most importantly watch Ghostface break down his tracks here. Thanks Miss Info

Jay Electronica

This dude is a problem for the rap game and I found some of his newest work called A Prayer For Michael Vick and T.I.. He is so dope!

Made to do this?

This is something I wrote, I'm really just reflecting upon the whole artistry of rap or music in general.

I knew I was the one for this shit, when I begun
And started rhyming about how I'm running this shit, now I'm the one
And only shogun with a blowgun shooting darts
Came here with a million and left without a march
If it is its a start to something bigger
The whole flow stay nasty like colored liquor
The one elixer from the apothecaries mixer
Broken down and compound to one mixture
I gotta fix ya like a broken hinge
Because you leaked the product out like a broke syringe
I think I broke the pin, four numbers ain't enough
You suppose I try again, you gonna call my bluff
Stay exclusive to each its own with their music
But your not an artist until your payed to do it
Until then its a hobby and I speak the truest
But this is something that happened, now I feel like I'm made to do it

Its a lot of phony stuff out here (insert get rich quick rappers here). And I'm sick of seeing it on myspace, hearing it on the radio, and etc. Basically I think I'm able to do this or the one rather. Because I shoot darts (rhymes) that affect a million men and each time it leads to something bigger, something better. My flow is nasty (in a good way of course) comparable to colored liquor (that tastes like shit). But I gotta get it broken down to the purest form to fix the people listening/reading that other bullshit. Because they leaked the product and it sucked. I'm trying to save grace but I broke the pin to the safe because the numbers I got (or the numbers that independent artist do) aint' enough to feed the family. As usual people try to test your artistry so I tell them your not an artist until your paid to do it, its a hobby for you but I was made to do it.

Check The Method

I was just watching youtube and I happen to stumble across this. Elzhi tells inspiring rappers how to rap, good anyway. His flow reminds me of Kool G Rap, and he shows how to achieve that flow. Check the method.

RZA Addresses Raekwon Rumours

Well I saw this coming, 8 Diagrams is around the corner. This is basically a promo and it does a good job of getting me excited. Most importantly RZA addresses Raekwon's rumours about the music and the money.
