Nas just might become my second favorite rapper, I haven't been this exited since I found out 8 Diagrams was actually coming out.
Be A Nigger Too Video
Album of The Week: Blu and Exile "Below The Heavens"

I heard about this cd about late last year. All the heads on Sohh.com were bragging about how great of an album this was. Usually the niggas on Sohh.com are either too much into the music to give a decent reveiw or they don't really listen enough to give a good review. With that being said, fuck "The Cool" this shit was album of the year, I really need to change my chart.
Now Exile has been around for sometime, I've heard about doing doing a beat battle at Beat Society (speaking of beat battles, I got some shit to tell you guys) and he did the infamous "Pearly Gates" song for Mobb Deep (best song on that garbage ass cd). Blu on the other hand is a rapper from Cali. Normally I wouldn't fuck with it because dudes on the West Coast don't really appeal to me and its not because they are from the west coast, its usually in the flow, choice of beats, and delivery. But I heard him rap like once and I thought he was cool, but I really didn't pay attention.
Dude is a beast! His flow is kinda like Lupe on "The Instrumental". Throughout the whole cd as I was paying attention to his words I was just like, "Wow", "Damn", and (insert "oooohhhhh shit" face), especially on the introduction "My World". Don't even get me started on Exile's beats. If you like "Pearly Gates" then pop in this cd and sit back and kick it. All of the beats are diverse (I know samples for two of them, I sampled them before) and the drums are so so crisp. Niggas always talk about how hip hop is dead. Well if you believe that shit you havent heard this shit. This shit got me more excited than sir Jay Electronica and you mofos know how excited I am about him. With that said go cop "Below The Heavens" by Blu and Exile and keep real hip hop alive or grown folks hip hop rather.
BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

Jay Electronica is on Nas' "Nigger" album. Read it here
Artist of The Week: Madlib

Madlib, Madlib, Madlib
He's actually the reason I make beats today, well not make beats but he had a HEAVY influence on what the machine I picked.
I remember when I first heard about Madlib it was in a Scratch Magazine article. After reading the article, I quickly went out and bought The Further Adventures of Lord Quas. I bumped that shit on the regular (can't do it so much, my disc is scratched now; isn't that ironic?).
I had knowledge of him before that article though because I went and bought Madvillany. After finding out he produced it, my favorite joint on there "Raid", I really wanted to know more about him. In the article he said that he used a Boss Sp 303 to make most of the beats. I was like damn, I wanna be like this guy.
Now lets not forget, I'm a total Wu-Stan. So when I heard that shit he did with Ghostface, the "Block Rocks" joint, I went nuts. I'm still trying to figure out what is he sampling. Which will bring me to another point I will make in another blog. But Madlib, that dude, don't forget, loop digga. He even outshined, J Dilla on the beats on the Jaylib joint in my opinion (Dilla got him on rhymes though). He just flips so many styles and it seems like he's not even trying. He even laced Erykah Badu something terrible. God. Madlib, top 10 producer, fuck your favorite.
Remember This?
This was my anthem for ugly broads in like 7th or 8th grade, now listening to the song, the shit is ass. And that girl that is rapping is ugly as hell but I still can vibe to it.
Artist of The Week: Sean Price

You don't know about Sean P? Sean Price the nicest emcee to every write a rap, one verse would make ya'll wanna buy some crack, he writes raps a second it takes niggas some years. If you played GTA 3 you had to hear his song, it was the hardest joint up there, it was produced by Agallah. His flow is not the crazist out there but it is there its just the way he says shit. For example
Thats my word to my mother /you act stupid duke I'm hurting your mother/ like WHAT BITCH!And that right there just proves how rugged he is. Look at dude, nigga looks like he robs people and hops back on the train. Sweet. Well I'm not sure if that was enough but if it wasn't peep the Passion of Price collection and go buy Jesus Price Supastar.
Is it me or this nigga could be Kimbo Slice's twin? Perhaps he is Kimbo Slice....
Artist of The Week: Jay Electronica
You guys should have saw this coming, I've been talking about sir Jay Electronica for a minute. To go on some Act 1 or Eardrum type shit, I first heard of Jay Electronica back in 2004 I believe. Ghostface is my favorite emcee of all time so I have the Source magazine where he is on the cover. After looking through the articles I went to the unsigned hype column and guess who was there. Artist of The Week: Elzhi
The first artist in my artist of the week profile will be Elzhi of Slum Village. Why? Simply cause he's fucking dope. My first introduction to Elzhi was on Little Brother's second cd, The Minstrel Show, on the song "Hiding Places". I've heard him before on "Selfish" but this was the first time I actually paid attention to his lyrics. Peep them
"Don't compare me to jokes I'll strangle the air in your throat
Like you jump from a chair and choke in mid-air from a rope
Got a big gun and carry a scope the flair of the smoke
Keep niggaz quiet like words that librarians spoke I'm arrogant,
Outlandish blow your face out, and shake out the dandruff
The jakes wont make out the handprints
I'm as real as it gets, with the steel and the clips
Bark and make niggaz duck, and kneel and do splits"
God how could you not want to hear more of this guy after that? But he has no solo album out so i had to do a lot of research and he did record a solo album in 97 but it was never released. In about 2001 he got his masters for the album and it leaked the internet. I d/l'd it and if that album was in stores I'd go get it.
I can't really explain how geninuely good this dude is with the multisymbolic flow. So you gotta be the judge for you self check him out.

Back for The First Time?
Ummm I haven't updated in a month. It was done intentionally, sorry. Actually if you noticed hip hop has kinda been on a stand still for the last month. I know the blog is about the beats and rhymes of my life but hasn't been any beating or rhyming in a while lol. But We Got It For Cheap Vol 3 has came out maybe I should review that. So now I'll start reviewinig cds and such. Also I have this idea of like artist of the week and I already know my first one. Thats for viewing!
PS: I won't go on hiatus like that again without giving some type of conformation that I haven't died or something tragic.
Saving Soulja Boy
Well I just read a snippet of his interview at Rhapsody and decide to put my two cents in. Now they ask him of his "beef" with GZA. And he starts talking about how old he is and a bunch of other shit. Now, I'm gonna question did he actually watch the video. Because the crowd said "Soulja Boy sucks dick". Not GZA. The white guy in the crowd said that. Then he said that he got his lil 5 minutes of fame. 5 minutes? For dissing you (even though he didn't)? Are you serious? He really doesn't know about Wu-Tang's legacy. This is more embarrassing that when J-kwon didn't know who Raekwon was and Joe Budden son'd him for it. But really 5 minutes? Wu-Tang had the rap game on lock for like 6 years, hard body. 1993-1999 the golden years. GZA's second album "Liquid Swords" is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time. It just bothers me there is no test of knowledge in this rap shit and that you can not know anything but talk like you do know what your talking about. What I really want to say to Soulja Boy is that his album didn't even peak what GZA "Liquid Swords" album has done. And that he needs to research the music he's creating if he's gonna call it rap. Do the knowledge. Your not that hot, your another D4L and Dem Franchise Boys, real hip hoppers do not fuck with you beyond clubs. Don't body yourself.
Good, Bad, Ugly
They finally made a video for this joint. I should have directed it. It would have been doper. I would have had them taking broads out to the movie and shit. But overall good video check it out here.
Saigon On Prodigy..... Again
I dunno how much more entertaining this is going to get but Saigon calls Prodigy a sucker and finally admits he ran out the club (without saying it) by saying he wasn't fighting 40 dudes. But Dude didn't ask him about my boy Joe Buddens! Thats what I wanna know, Saigon do you really wanna battle Buddens? Buddens been on a roll lately Game, Ransom, that Bay area dude, Jay Z (yes I'm putting that as a victory for Joey, "Every encore ain't a good one"), is Saigon next? look at the clip here....
New MADVILLAIN VIDEO!!!!
Not really, its old actually. It was filmed for Accordion, I like it. Its ultra dark and it fits DOOMS flow.
Dear Madlib and MF DOOM,
Could you please hurry up with Madvillian 2?
Thank You,
Millionaire Radio
Prodigy In the lab?
